Mr. Baldwin co-founded Congruent Investment Partners, LLC in early 2009 to capitalize on opportunities in corporate credit, executing primarily across liquid and illiquid bank debt and bonds. Prior to founding Congruent, Mr. Baldwin was with Fortress Investment Group in the firm’s special situations hedge fund, where he worked as a generalist with a focus on corporate credit. He managed a portfolio in leveraged loans, corporate bonds, CDS and equities. Prior to Fortress, Mr. Baldwin was with Highland Capital Management, where he worked as a desk analyst identifying and evaluating opportunities across the capital structure for the firm’s distressed and credit hedge funds. Mr. Baldwin began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in the firm’s consulting group investigating corporate accounting frauds and valuing intellectual property assets. He holds a Masters in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Honors Program at the University of Georgia. He earned a CPA license and is a CFA charterholder.
Mr. Barsness joined Congruent Investment Partners, LLC in 2014, where he focuses on research, underwriting and asset management. Prior to joining Congruent, Mr. Barsness was with Houlihan Lokey in the firm’s Financial Advisory Services group, where he provided financial due diligence and valuation services across various industries. Mr. Barsness began his career at KPMG, where he worked in the firm’s audit practice. Mr. Barsness received a BS in accounting and finance from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and is a licensed CPA.
Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Killebrew is responsible for the development and management of the firm’s middle and back-office operations including treasury, valuation, accounting and reporting. He also manages the firm’s compliance program and related reporting. Additionally, he occasionally works on accounting due diligence for investment opportunities. Prior to joining Congruent, Mr. Killebrew worked at Highland Capital Management culminating as Co-Head of Hedge Fund Accounting. At Highland, Mr. Killebrew’s responsibilities included accounting, operations, valuation, and reporting for the firm’s multi-billion dollar hedge fund platform in addition to serving in the firm’s business development and investor relations group. Prior to Highland, Mr. Killebrew was an associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he focused on providing assurance services to private investment advisers and private investment funds. Mr. Killebrew received a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Baylor University and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Kupka joined Congruent Investment Partners, LLC in 2014 and focuses on research, investment analysis, underwriting, and asset management. Prior to joining Congruent, Mr. Kupka was an investment banking analyst with Houlihan Lokey focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raises in the branded consumer products industry. Before joining Houlihan, he worked at Ernst & Young in the Transaction Advisory Services group focusing on buy-side financial due diligence. Mr. Kupka holds a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a BSBA with honors in Finance and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Lidji joined Congruent Investment Partners, LLC in 2015, where he focuses on business development and investment underwriting. Prior to joining Congruent, Mr. Lidji served in various roles at Lone Star Funds where he worked on buyout transactions, distressed debt, and par lending opportunities. Mr. Lidji began his career at FTI Consulting as a restructuring professional where he served as a financial advisor to companies in distress and bankruptcy throughout the financial crisis. Mr. Lidji earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Georgia, and he earned his JD/MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Mr. Massey co-founded Congruent Investment Partners, LLC in early 2009 to opportunistically invest in credit. Congruent has executed investment strategies in liquid bank debt and illiquid middle market loans, with proprietary relationships driving deal flow. Prior to founding Congruent, Mr. Massey was a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group in the firm’s special situations hedge funds, where he managed the corporate debt investment team for the southwest and southeast regions. Prior to Fortress, Mr. Massey was Senior Vice President for Wells Fargo Foothill (formerly Foothill Capital), where he managed a leverage finance team covering Texas and surrounding states. Prior to joining Foothill, Mr. Massey was a Portfolio Manager in Wells Fargo’s Capital Markets Group, managing the firm’s engagements in credit products, capital raising, asset management, and derivatives. Mr. Massey holds a M.B.A from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. and B.A. cum laude from Southern Methodist University. He is also a licensed attorney in the state of Texas.
Mr. Okita focuses on sourcing, underwriting, and asset management. Prior to joining Congruent, Mr. Okita worked as a research associate at CRT Capital focusing on cross capital structure equity and credit sell-side research. Before CRT, he was an analyst at Egan-Jones Ratings, a leading independent, investor-paid credit rating agency. Before that, he was an analyst at Washington Corner Capital Management, a distressed and high yield hedge fund. He holds a M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Zimmermann joined Congruent Investment Partners, LLC in 2013, where he focuses on business development and investment underwriting. Prior to joining Congruent, Mr. Zimmermann was with Terra Verde Partners, a private investment firm focused on the environmental sector where he worked on buyout transactions in the space. Prior to Terra Verde, Mr. Zimmermann was with Highland Capital Management where he identified, analyzed and managed investments for the firm’s hedge funds and retail funds focusing on the retail, restaurants, consumer, food, and gaming sectors. Mr. Zimmermann began his career with J.P. Morgan, where he worked in the firm’s investment banking practice advising public and private companies on various strategic alternatives. Mr. Zimmermann earned his BBA in Finance from The University of Texas in Austin. He serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, serves as the Co-President and Philanthropy Chair for Young Professionals in Finance of Dallas and serves as Chairman of the Texas Youth Scholarship Organization. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
